Meet the Band

Buster Davis, "Hoss" as he is also known, started the band in 1993 and lives in Jamestown, TN. He is the Lead Singer and plays Rhythm Guitar for Mountain Rose. Buster was inspired in bluegrass music by his uncle Jim Davis and grew up listening to Ralph Stanley.

William Stephens, "Sweet William" as he is also known, joined the band in 1993 and lives in Jamestown, TN. He sings Baritone and plays the Banjo for Mountain Rose. William grew up in a musical family and was inspired by his father Warren Stephens, who played the fiddle. William was also inspired by Don Reno, Red Smiley, Jimmy Martin, Ricky Skaggs and Tony Rice.

Tom Payne, "Tinker", joined the band in 1996 and lives in Oneida, TN. He sings Tenor and plays the Mandolin for Mountain Rose. Tom is very talented with a beautiful singing voice. He was inspired by Bill Monroe.

Buster Slavin plays Bass Fiddle for Mountain Rose Band. He has filled in for our group for 3 years and finally joined the group in November 2007 and we are glad he did. He makes his home in Oneida, Tennessee.

Dave Parker, "Dashin Dave", joined the band in 2003 and lives in Jamestown, TN. He sings Bass and plays the Fiddle for Mountain Rose. Dave grew up in a musical family and was inspired by his father Rowe Parker. Dave likes old time fiddle tunes.
